Attention Fellow Waterfowlers. If you regularly donate blood, I am requesting a favor from you. A young lady friend of mine is conducting a blood drive for her scholarship to college. She would get credit for each donation. Her blood drive was scheduled for last saturday...the day it snowed. The turn out was way lower than she had expected. I trekked out to Stony Brook to donate, but I guess the weather kept people in. She will be going for Environmental Studies in college. She is one of our "duck chicks", who helps out the waterfowlers with clean-ups, food drives, and at the duckboat show (face painting). If you are going to donate within the next two weeks, please give the blood center GROUP NUMBER 66207. It will help her towards her college career. Thanks so much for helping out a fellow ducker.

On Monday Night, November 7th, the members of the SSWA passed the proposed feed fund amendment by a unanimous vote. The fund shall henceforth be known as the Emergency Fund, and you can look for a description of the fund in a future posting of the amended copy of our club constitution right here in the "members section" of our website. Coming soon.

I would like to thank All the SSWA members who helped out at Sunday's Duckboat Show and Waterfowl Festival. You took time out of your busy schedules to support your club, and to help make this years show a success. Due to the high winds and cold temps, our public showing at the gate was lower than years past, but the true die hards were out in force, braving the cold. Thank you to all our supporters for stepping up and helping out the SSWA.
