About South Shore Waterfowlers
South
Shore Waterfowlers Association is dedicated to
preserving and promoting the waterfolwing
tradition in Long Island and New York.
The
South Shore Waterfowlers meet at 8:00 p.m. on the
1st Monday of each month from September through
April. If the 1st Monday falls on a library
holiday (a U.S. Postal holiday), the meeting will
be rescheduled. Contact Bill or Curt (below) to
find out the rescheduled date.
Starting September 10, 2007, and for the
next several months, the Brightwaters Library
will not be available to us for our monthly
meetings. It is undergoing renovations. The new
location for the meetings will be the Commack
Middle School on Vanderbilt Motor Parkway in
Commack.
DIRECTIONS FROM EAST OR WEST
Long Island Expressway, exit 52 (Commack). At the
exit light turn North onto Commack Road and
proceed for about 1 mile to Vanderbilt Motor
Parkway. Turn left at the light onto Vanderbilt
Pkwy heading west, travel 1/2 mile, the school is
on the left.
FROM EAST Northern Pkwy to exit 43 (Commack).
Take the right fork of the exit ramp onto Commack
Road heading south to the next light. Turn right
at the light onto Vanderbilt Motor Pkwy west,
travel 1/2 mile, the school is on the left.
FROM WEST
Northern Pkwy to exit 43 (Commack). Make a right
turn at the exit ramp light, and travel 4 tenths
of a mile, the school is on the left
FROM SOUTH
Southern State to Sagtikos Pkwy North to Northern
State Pkwy westbound for 1,000 feet to exit 43.
Follow directions for "FROM EAST."
The September meeting will be Monday, Sept. 10th
(because the 3rd is labor Day), and will begin at
7:30 p.m.
All other meetings will be the first Monday of
every month.
Park in the FRONT lot, enter through the main
doors, and there will be a sign posted with the
room number and the direction to go.
We hope to see you all at this first meeting of
the 2007-2008 season.
